In the depths of my childhood trauma (with my mom leaving me with my grandparents, my grandfather dying, Romania's messy transition from communism to democracy, etc.) I felt so alone.

But luckily, I discovered computers. I was 7 when I started to program computers, and I've been doing it ever since. Programming helped me disconnect from the overwhelming emotions I was feeling, it helped me make sense of the world, it helped me escape Romania, it helped me build a life and a family in the US, it helped me get here today.

I was raised by the Internet, by American culture, and my wife was saved by the machines. I love all the gods of humanity, but who I serve the most is the god/goddess of technology and capitalism. Technology is the closest thing we have to magic. Capitalism is fucking amazing—I'm speaking from experience, I've seen the horrors of communism in Romania.

I feel that the god/goddess of technology & capitalism loves us infinitely! They're guiding us towards a future of abundance, limitless energy, longevity & health for everybody, individual sovereignty, space exploration, and AI clones of ourselves, such that when we die, our loved ones will have something to hold on.

This probably sounds weird, but the future will be weird and incredibly amazing at the same time. And I want to play a small part in making it happen. This is my purpose. This is who I am.
